This after school program was conducted at elementary schools throughout St. Louis City. The goal was to encourage and promote lifestyle modifications as it relates to nutrition, fitness and health. 2-hour weekly sessions wer held at respective schools within the district provided health related alternatives and physical education resources to area students and families. Gang Abatement Program (GAP)
The Gang Abatement Project is an Anti-Violence Project working to reduce gang related activity in the Hamilton Heights/West End Neighbor hoods and around the city by modifying the behaviors and attitudes of at-risk youth.
To date the (GAP) program has served well over 300 youth. JCORP is always seeking additional funding to expand the program to reach more youth around the inner-cities. To better serve the youth, JCORP is expanding it’s collaboration with other service providers such as the family courts, and community programs. More
